Your Most Important Audience

Sometimes I get emails that really hit home and start
my ol' noggin to turning gears. The following tidbit
came to me via email from a friend, and it had enough
grease to get those gears a movin'.
Now granted, not everyone views things in the same
light as I do, and hey, that's a good thing. I have a
theory about the how the following snippet will go over
with readers. Please take the time to read this entire
article, and let's see where you fit in.
Ready? Let's begin....
Everyone Can't be In The Front Row!
Life is a theater - Invite your audience carefully. Not
everyone is healthy enough to have a front row seat in
our lives. There are some people in your life that need
to be loved from a distance.
It's amazing what you can accomplish when you let go,
or at least minimize, your time with draining,
negative, incompatible, not-going-anywhere
relationships/friendships.
Observe the relationships around you.
Pay attention.
Which ones lift and which ones lean? Which one
encourage and which ones discourage? Which ones are on
a path of growth uphill and which ones are going
downhill?
When you leave certain people, do you feel better or
feel worse? Which ones always have drama or don't
really understand, know or appreciate you?
The more you seek quality, respect, growth, peace of
mind, love and truth around you, the easier it will
become for you to decide who gets to sit in the FRONT
ROW and who should be moved to the balcony of your
life.
You cannot change the people around you...but you can
change the people you are around.

Did you just skim through or did you really read it?
Now, let me ask you a question. How does this mini
article relate to your life? You see, my theory is that
there will be three major reactions to this piece.
b. The article gets "blown off", with nary a thought.
2. You read the article and say "Aha! So it *is*
everybody else's fault I'm where I am".
3. You reflect on it, and come to realize that it
wouldn't hurt to be a little more careful who you let
get close to you.
As for myself, I turned it over and over in my mind for
a few days. Yes, that's right. I gave this thought for
almost a week. Here's what I came up with for me.
First, I realized that a profound idea need not be a
novel to have meaning for me. Some of the greatest
ideas of all times are comprised of but a few words.
Don't believe me? How about these: Love, Peace, Unity,
Truth. Those are some of humankind's greatest ideas
contained in only one word.
Next comes the old saying "Truth Hurts". Yes, as I
read, people whom I love and have regular contact came
to mind. While I was thinking this whole line of
thought over, everyone I knew started plopping down
into separate categories in my mind.
It was during this time that I noticed something a
little strange. I noticed that the people that I
associate with online fell into the same category. They
were in the "always excited and upbeat" crowd. Could it
be the reason that I am drawn to and enjoy my online
time? Definitely. I honestly never thought about it
before, but definitely so.
I also noticed that most of the people in the negative
categories were getting less of my time. This has been
a gradual process, but I can see it has been happening.
I truly believe I can accredit this to my online circle
of friends. How you may ask? I think it would stand to
reason that one seeks out those of like minds. In other
words, we seek the company of those we want to be. Or
at least we *should* be doing so.
It makes sense that if you want to be a success at
something, you need to hang with the ones who already
are.
So, what meaning do I get from all this? I find the
validation that I *am* headed in the right direction to
get where I want to be.
I pose the question to you, who's in your Front Row?
